Fractal microstrip patch antennas for dual-band and triple-band wireless applications

Abstract In this paper, the design and development of dual-band triple-band fractal microstrip patch antennas with enhanced gain are presented. The structure is based on Sierpinski carpet fractal, where multiband functionality achieved by applying iteration technique. antenna characteristics along analysis reflection coefficient radiation patterns for each (DBFMPA) operating at 4.9 5.3 GHz (TBFMPA) 2.4, 5.3, 5.9 GHz. defected ground (DGS) a reflector plane utilized enhancing antenna. Design optimization DBFMPA TBFMPA done using Computer Simulation Technology (CST) Microwave Studio Suite. presented suitable industrial, scientific, medical (ISM) wireless applications.
